These tools do not cut steel. They do not cut plastic. They do not cut wood laminate flooring. They are designed for the kitchen and bath, or cabinet and countertop trade and for cutting hard plastic laminate. They will not mar the surface of the laminate. They DO TAKE A 1/8" wide cut piece out of the laminate when cutting per the photos.
