This compact rosewood display case features a glass door with a mitered amaranth frame, accented by a fillet and a blend of lemon and dark wood. The door, hinged on offset pivots, is equipped with an original, functional lock and a bronze escutcheon. Below, a small, framed shelf is upholstered in black imitation leather. The lower section, in rosewood veneer, showcases butterfly-winged design and fillet compositions, adorned with a flowery jardinière marquetry. The uprights, in horizontal veneers, sport gilded bronze falls with Corinthian capitals, culminating in bronze sabots. The intricately carved crosspiece boasts a cul-de-lampe with acanthus leaves and scrolls. The sides are glazed at the top and panelled at the bottom. The piece is crowned with a grooved Breche d'Alep marble. Inside, there are fixed shelves at the top and bottom.
