4130 STEEL PLATES, AMS-6345* NORMALIZED, previously MIL-S-18729C, are widely used in aircraft due to their excellent weldability, ease of fabrication, and mild hardenability. They can be heat-treated to high strength levels, yet maintain adequate strength in the annealed state. Used for part and component manufacturing. Order full lengths (6 ft.) or halves (3 ft.), with cheaper shipping for halves. Order halves using .5 as quantity, or request full lengths cut in half at no extra charge.
