Trilobite Species - Pseudogygites Latimarginatus - Fossil Display Specimen Most of the fossils found are layers and layers of shed shells as they grow. These collect on the floor by the hundreds in all sizes. Since the trilobite has many sections some unusual fossils are found but they are all just sections of the trilobite exoskeleton. Rarely, an intact specimen is found but mostly it is hundreds of tails and other sections piled on top of each other in layers. The host rock is a limestone shale. Location of Origin: Craigsleith, Collingwood, Ontario, Canada NOTE: This location is now closed to collectors so no new material will be coming out.
