Pre-mixed Microcement for countertops, sinks, and furniture. Create your own countertops, sinks, and furniture with this kit that provides everything needed for a finished surface. Vitruvius' concrete mix is unique and must be experienced. The kit includes: K-primer, Readymix, Sealer, Wax, and application instructions. ReadyMix Microcement is applied in a 2mm thick layer, resembling a poured concrete look. Apply to existing surfaces or build new structures to be covered with concrete knsla. Microcement can be applied to existing surfaces, but it's important to seal all joints to prevent cracking. We offer helpful videos and instructions for various scenarios. MDF is commonly used for kitchen countertops, offering good acoustics and ease of use. However, MDF is highly moisture-sensitive, so it must be moisture-proofed if there's a risk of moisture exposure, like in kitchen countertops. Moisture-proof with a water-based lacquer from any manufacturer or use A-primer. After moisture-proofing and checking the surface, apply K-primer and continue according to instructions. Link to A-primer. Microcement application is quick and easy, following four steps: Priming, application, sanding, and surface treatment. Detailed instructions and videos are available on the Application Guide page. Even beginners can follow the basic application instructions in each shipment. Indoor and outdoor protection for countertops, sinks, and furniture. Surfaces are protected with a linseed oil wax, free from cleaning agents and plastic. The wax is heat-resistant and suitable for food handling. Pores are filled, making the surface softer and easier to clean. If using a linoleum sealer, the wax will be automatically maintained during sealing. Otherwise, re-wax periodically. The entire surface should be waxed for a consistent finish. No special tools are required, but using a long-handled trowel at a 45-degree angle to the microcement surface makes polishing easier. Use a straight edge for the cleanest cuts. Link to straight edge tools. Microcement is a thin layer that mimics the appearance of concrete. It can be controlled for texture and comes in multiple colors. A single layer is the key difference with dbcMICROCEMENT, developed by a dissatisfied installer. Naturally, the material maintains high quality. We've also chosen a more precise ballast/solid mix, preventing microcement from shrinking. It allows for a 2mm thick layer, unlike other microcements that require multiple layers for the same thickness. Applying a single layer reveals the material's natural texture. It's also easier to focus on the final result and details when applying the same surface four times. Since it doesn't shrink, no reinforcement mat is needed. Before purchasing microcement for countertops, consider the following: Inspect the material in reality. While all manufacturers show attractive concrete-like images, the quality varies significantly. Also, consider the lighting in which the product will be used, as shadows play a significant role. Ensure consistent surfaces, as it won't look good if there's a break in the middle of the surface. Microcement is a natural material, not like buying tiles. Applying microcement is almost addictive, resulting in a very attractive finish. A piece of furniture that looks like this becomes a conversation piece.
