The Furuno Navpilot 300-OPT is a complete autopilot system designed for compatibility with Seastar Optimus 360 joystick systems (sold separately). This package includes all necessary components, cables, and gateways required for integration with compatible Seastar Optimus setups. The Navpilot 300 features Fantum Feedback technology, eliminating the need for a physical rudder feedback unit in outboard installations. This simplifies setup and enhances steering precision. Tailored for planing and semi-displacement outboard vessels (24 to 50 feet) with one to four engines, it provides reliable course control from slow trolling speeds to over 60 knots. The system adapts to changing conditions using Furuno’s advanced adaptive learning technology. Included is the Gesture Controller, which uses Bluetooth to allow remote steering from up to 10 meters away. Point to a desired heading, press and hold the button, and release to adjust the boat’s course. The Sabiki mode enables autopilot control while drifting astern, maintaining heading against wind and tide. This mode is designed for activities like Sabiki fishing, jigging, and bottom fishing. Additional modes include Highway, Auto, Advanced Auto, and Fish Hunter. Fish Hunter mode offers four pre-programmed maneuvers—Zig-Zag, Orbit, Figure 8, or Spiral—around a specified target at a user-selected distance, ideal for fishing or man overboard (MOB) scenarios. When paired with compatible Furuno sonar, sounder, or radar systems (sold separately), the Navpilot 300 can lock onto fish or bird targets to execute these maneuvers. With Fantum Feedback, this autopilot delivers streamlined installation and precise control for outboard and sterndrive vessels.
