WW2 Acme Whistle Air Ministry 23/230 RAF USAAF Rescue Emergency Ditching Thunderer WWII Aged

This whistle is made by the same company that made the original whistles, in the same factory and using the same equipment. It is an almost identical whistle to the WWII version. It is approx 45mm long x 23mm tall x 19mm wide and made from Nickel (chrome) plated brass. This is the perfect whistle if you are a aircrew re-enactor, aircraft enthusiast or collect WW2 related items. This whistle has been aged to reflect day to day wear and 70+ years of history. It has scratches, marks and blemishes and the brass can be seen to be wearing through in many areas. The pictures show the general wear but each one is unique and individual in final finish - no two will be the same. Perfect for you genuine mae west, raf or USAAF flight jacket etc. These whistles were used as both signalling and ditching or emergency devices in order to draw attention if the RAF or USAAF crew member required help.
