One prism's deflection is measured in Diopters, with 1 diopter shifting the beam 1cm at a 1m distance. They can also form an anamorphic pair for beam shaping, or be paired to steer a beam within a circle defined by 4θ, achieved by independently rotating the prisms, often used in imaging for beam scanning.
