F-14A Tomcat JETs Vol. 25-32 by JET EYES

No release is quite like a Tomcat release! Over time, we've gathered F-14 panels from various sources and collectors. Among them, a batch of Splinter panels (BuNo 161869) bore panels removed from an aircraft scrapped alongside 'A/C 11'. Unlike the fleet, NSAWC (Naval Strike and Air Warfare Center) used a 2-digit modex, with NSAWC 20 being Splinter and NSAWC 11 belonging to BuNo 159873. Thanks to dedicated Tomcat and movie enthusiasts, we found pictures of Splinter being scrapped alongside NSAWC 11 (159873) in the early 2000s. This aircraft, 159873, served in multiple USN fleet squadrons and ultimately NSAWC (Top Gun), and was a screen-used aircraft in the original 1986 Top Gun, painted with Cougar, Merlin, and iconic 'VF-1' squadron art. JETs Vol. 25-32 features tags cut from two panels, offered in 8 variants commemorating 159873's use at NSAWC and VF-1: NSAWC Grey, White, Green, Raw, Stab, VF-1 Grey, and VF-1 Stab. VF-1 Grey JETs come with modex 03, used during filming, while NSAWC JETs bear modex 11. Card art for 25-32 F-14s is by James Martin. Additionally, we've created a limited run of 50 MiG-28 JETs and a few Traps, cut from F-5 fuselage skin and accompanied by a card by Ryan Quickfall, separate from the 200 F-14A JETs run.
