The Jagdpanther, Germany's apex WWII tank destroyer, boasted sloped armor for enhanced round deflection and a powerful 8.8cm KwK43 cannon, identical to the Kingtiger's. Built on the Panther tank's running gear and featuring an upgraded transmission, it was reliable. Production began in January 1944, with 415 units made. Weighing 45.5 tonnes, it was operated by a crew of five and saw service on both fronts, predominantly on the Eastern Front.
