he SunTouch HeatMatrix anti-fracture membrane mat is designed to offer simplicity during heating wire installation. HeatMatrix offers features such as vapor management, sheer stress control, water proofing, and optimal spacing for room heating control. This anti-fracture mat may be used as a backboard replacement and will cover a 40 square foot area. Simply prepare substrate with modified thinset, set HeatMatrix by embedding the underside fleece into the thinset base, install heating wire at a standard 3 inch spacing, and install tile using a thinset as recommended by the tile manufacturer.
- MEMBRANE MAT: The SunTouch HeatMatrix Anti-Fracture Membrane Mat is designed to offer simplicity during heating wire installation. Covering a total of 40 sq. ft., installation is easily completed by simply pressing WarmWire into the channels provided, securing, and embedding in a polymer-modified mortar before the floor covering is installed.
- STURDY CONSTRUCTION: This 0.24” (6 mm) thick membrane mat’s propylene construction provides a barrier against surface water, while its deep grooved channels allow evaporation of moisture from below the membrane. The one-ply, non-woven fleece on the underside minimizes the stress caused by lateral, multi-directional movement within the substrate, eliminating a common cause of cracked tiles.
- VERSATILE APPLICATION: Ideal for use with structurally sound subfloors or concrete under tile, stone, or laminate, the HeatMatrix provides full coverage for crack isolation and waterproofing, making it suitable for both heated and unheated areas. It may also be used as a backboard replacement.
- ADJUSTABLE SPACING: Easily tailor WarmWire spacing to match varying floor and room heating requirements, with the flexibility to adjust the underlayment for 2, 3, and 4-shape spacing. 3” spacing is the standard for the most efficient heat distribution.

| Warranty Description | SunTouch and Watts Radiant (the Companies) warrant their respective electric floor heating mats and cables (the Products) to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for twenty-five (25) years from the date of manufacture. Thermostats and controls sold by the Companies are warranted, parts and materials, for two (2) years from the date of purchase. The sole remedy for controls is product replacement. This warranty is only provided to customers who purchase the Products from authorized resellers, and is transferable to subsequent owners of properties where the Products are initially installed. |
