These Regency bronze torches rest on a broad, stepped base with a quarter turn and a doucine. The shell-shaped shaft, in three distinct parts, sits on a wide navel and resembles a three-sided baluster. All three sides are carved with small leaf-like motifs, and the ribs feature six straight grooves etched with flowers. The patina is exquisite and reflects light as if gilded. One of the pair appears slightly warped, dating back to the 18th century. Height 26 cm.
