Male and Female Connector Set for Reention Dorado Battery. Heavy Duty Version

Set of both connectors to repair a Reention Dorado battery to bike connection problem. This is the heavy duty version with 12ga wire, thicker gold plated pins, and better threads. They are backwards compatible with the original Reention parts The Reention part numbers for their version of these connectors is PLA0049 and PLA0050 This set includes a 2 pin Bike side power connector for Reention battery system as used on Hilleater, Juiced and many other bikes. Has 12ga, 140mm wires soldered onto the connector, the other side is an Amass XT60 female connector. The other use for this pigtail is to access the power stored in your ebike battery for other uses. Use a digital adjustable DC-DC converter to step down the voltage for use with 12V accessories, or 19V for your laptop etc. Great for power outages, or camping. Do not plug in a common 12V inverter! For an inverter you would need one to match the voltage of your battery, like 48V. This set also includes the battery side main power output connector for the Reention battery system. Battery fitment problems can lead to a damaged connector on the battery. Some batteries also had a connector which allowed the metal contacts to slide back, resulting in an intermittent connection. Replacing the battery side connector is not trivial, on many batteries the power cannot be switched off, the output leads are live at all times so extreme care must be taken when replacing the connector. If there is an internal fuse, this can be removed to make the operation safer. Also soldering must be done by an expert, as it is easy to damage the new connector with too much heat, and a less than professional soldering job could lead to wires coming loose, and a short circuit in the battery which could damage the battery or even lead to a fire.
