The LR1500D23 Series Laser Ranging Module by ERDI Tech Ltd is a new-generation, high-precision, compact ranging solution designed for demanding applications. Operating at a 905 nm laser wavelength, it delivers an impressive ranging capability of 4 m to 1,500 m with a ranging accuracy of ±1 m and a typical resolution of 10 cm. The module features a ranging frequency of 2–10 Hz, a valid measurement rate of ≥98%, and a false alarm rate of ≤1%, ensuring reliable performance. Weighing approximately 20 g and measuring just Ø0.9 in × 1.8 in, this lightweight module is ideal for integration into handheld devices such as night vision devices, thermal imagers, telescopes, and laser illuminators, as well as perimeter security, aviation, railways, and outdoor sports applications. It supports single measurement, continuous measurement, and angle measurement modes. Equipped with a UART-TTL communication interface at 115200 bps, it operates on 3.3–5 V supply voltage with an average power consumption of approximately 0.6 W. The lens cavity carries an IP67 protection rating, and the module is IEC Class 1 laser safety certified with an MTBF of ≥1,500 hours.
