Shimano has also increased the space between the large and small rings to reduce chain rub in the small-small gear and a chainline that's optimized for the dropout spacing and chainstay length associated with disc brake road bikes. The Shimano 105 FC 7000 Crankset is available in mid-compact and compact ring options with its asymmetric, 110mm bolt circle diameter. Both versions of this crankset can be had in 170, 172. 5, or 175mm lengths.
