SkegGuard can be used to protect and prevent damage to your motor skeg, as well as to repair or replace an already broken skeg. Constructed of high-quality 316 stainless steel, SkegGuard has an extra reinforced wear tab where the skeg is most vulnerable. This 2.5mm thickened lower plate will withstand damage or abrasion from hidden rocks and debris or accidental ramp dragging. SkegGuard can be installed on a lower unit with as little as 2" of skeg remaining. Secured with self-locking hardware, SkegGuard can be installed in less than ten minutes with simple tools.
