Designed for classic mountaineering and glacier walks on our Nepal ice axe has a forged steel blade, and an adze. Its shaft is slightly curved to facilitate the self-arrest maneuver (hence the name S.A.), a technique used by climbers to stop a slide with the use of an ice axe and no other system. Its leash is equipped with a rubber tip protector. Aluminum shaft it is easy to handle. In the Plus version it features a rubber handle that facilitates the grip.
