If you've got original GM manifolds and PPE up-pipes, this bracket secures your PPE down-pipe, preventing it from moving. An unsecured down-pipe that shifts can contact and harm the up-pipe's bellows even during normal driving. This movement can also lead to metal fatigue and cracking of the down-pipe. This is a simple fix to address the issue. Crafted from 1/8" 304 stainless steel.
