It has higher reliability in dry operations, heat resistance, hard machining, and the resistance can be reduced.
- Large Flute Gullet: 2 flute end mills have a larger gullet so there's more chip clearance. It is suitable for cutting softer materials such as aluminum and non-ferrous alloys. Therefore, a tool’s strength is less of a concern. A tool can be fed faster, and larger material removal rate is facilitated by the large flute valleys of 2 flute tools. 2 flute end mills are recommended to be used at a slower speed when working with steel.
