Mariage Freres - ROSE D'HIMALAYA (TB1260) - 30 Muslin Tea Sachet / bags - The Arya Organic Tea Estate – situated not far from the town of Darjeeling, along the steep, staggering hills that rise 1820m in altitude – was established in 1865 on the same site as a well-known monastery chosen for its pure air, its sacred environment and its spiritual powers. For more than twenty years, since 1990, Mariage Frères has worked side by side with the estate to create a worldwide exclusive – our Darjeeling “ Rose d’Himalaya ”, an extraordinary tea known for its subtle fragrance of rose. Only a few parcels of land on the estate, reserved only to us, produce this unique tea. A fine mist of essential rose oil is blended with the freshly cut leaves to further pronounce the delicate rose aroma naturally present. Pleasant notes of ripened fruit (Muscatel grape) and stewed citrus float along the subtle rose flavour while a malty, prolonged finale evokes cacao bean. Luscious and magical!
