Cat Litter Substitute These pellets are made with a mixture of pine and walnut wood that, when added water, expand to about twice their volume. Thanks to its absorbent power, it can be used as a substitute for litter in cat litter box. Colour variations may occur due to the nature of the product. For litter box (cats) Pour evenly into a clean litter box to a depth of 4 to 7 cm. Periodically check the litter box, remove the moistened pellets and place them in the trash (or in the toilet, little by little). Change pellets weekly. - For terrarium or habitats (rabbits, rodents, whose ferrets, reptiles, etc.) Apply a layer of 2 to 3 cm on the place in the terrarium or habitat. To stay in better condition, contaminated areas or wetted pellets must be removed; a total change of the bed should be made approximately every 3 weeks, although the change varies depending on the number of pets in the space.
