This method therefore involves: - exercises of a traditional type which allow good body and hand position to be achieved quickly. - pieces which develop musical awareness, knowledge of the keyboard and an understanding of different tonalities. By linking exercises and pieces, the child soon acquires a comprehensive and imaginative view of piano's possibilities. Each part ends with a section ""getting to know the keyboard"" which deal with specific aspects of instrumental technique, and which can, according to each pupil's individual progress, be studied at any time.
