This wood species is also used extensively in high-end drum set construction for players serious about sound. Inside are two sets of coiled steel snare wires fitted against the playing surface. These are the same type of snares found on snare drums, and they give you a crisp tone. A sound port on the rear helps develop bass tone and is a perfect microphone spot. Non-slip silicone feet allow the body to resonate to its fullest while providing stability.
