The 904A’s two primary controls —Fixed Control Voltage and Regeneration — carry the names found on the original unit, but, in modern parlance, they translate to filter cutoff and resonance, respectively. And they behave exactly as you would expect, with the unmistakable sound that has cemented its place in synthesis history. A Frequency Range knob lets you select from three frequency cutoff bands: position one spans from 1HZ to 5kHz, position 2 is 4Hz to 20kHz, and position 3 is 16Hz to 80kHz, so you have ample control over your filter sweeps.
