These high-quality tuners made by Gotoh Japan are commonly used to replace the standard tuners on Fender Stratocasters, Telecasters and other models. They are a drop in replacement for these models, making replacing tuners a simple task. Locking tuners have a mechanism which locks the string in place. This eliminates the need to wind the string around the post, reduces tuning problems and speeds up restringing. There are two types of locking tuners, front-locking and rear-locking. Rear-locking are easier to use than front-locking but are not available with height adjustable posts.
