Constructed with hardwood stave shells, the staves are assembled based on uniform qualities like color and grain for a consistent sound and look—precise proportions allow the drums to complement each other with separate pitches. Both drums measure 28” tall. These congas are outfitted with hand-selected buffalo skin heads for a classic sound. The response you get is full of dynamic warmth and depth along with sharp highs and an outstanding feel—the heads measure 10" and 11". Our 2 mm rounded rims complement each drum by sitting lower than traditional conga rims with a rounded edge for comfort and control. This design helps you avoid harsh or unwanted contact with the rim as you play with your hands. This conga set comes with two height adjustable basket stands designed for quick setup. They're made from black powder coated steel with thick rubber pads that safely support the drums and rubber padded feet for stability. On the bottom of the shell is a protective circular base that lets you place the drum down on any surface without risk of damaging it while preserving its long-lasting resonance and rich tone. Get a consistent pitch that's long-lasting with our strong 8 mm tension rods and steel lugs. Included is a tuning wrench for pitch adjustments and quick head changes.
