Mustard Seeds - Misome - Hybrid. Non-GMO. Brassica campestris Narinosa group. Alt names: Japan green, komatsuna, tasai, tatsoi. 30 days. Warm season annual. A fairly recent hybrid between Komatsuna and Tatsoi, this versatile, uniform, and hardy green grows upright. The 10" tall plant produces tender, thick, savoyed, deep green leaves that hold well in the field. Heat tolerant and resistant to Downy Mildew and White Rust. Can be grown throughout the year. Prepare fertile, well-drained soil. Sow seeds in late spring/early summer after last frost and throughout mild temperature summers or late summer to early fall. Sow every 2 weeks for continuous harvest. Keep soil moist. Fertilize as needed. Harvest leaves and young stems when plant is about 8-10" tall. Excellent for salads, tsukemono (Japanese pickles), and stir fry. Used in many styles of Japanese and Chinese cooking. Prepare as you would any leafy green. Approximately 15813 seeds/ounce.
