• Milliner's #1 is best for Eleganza Perle Cotton #5, Milliner's #3 for Eleganza size 8, while Chenille #18 is suitable for use with both Eleganza thread in size 3 and 5.
• The Chenille #24 is by far the most widely used needle type for this type of work. Use with Ellana wool thread for wool applique and for all embroidery stitches (excluding wrapped/cast-on) utilizing size 8 equivalent threads.
• Short Darner #9 needles are used with silk thread #24, and can be used for bead stitching with seed beads up to size 11.
