Vortex Bimini Tops are made from heavy duty marine grade polyester fabric. The fabric is treated and sealed in multiple ways. Specifically, it is double polyurethane coated on the bottom, or down side, as well as UV protected and sealed. Polyester and acrylic are similar for bimini tops. The support system/framework, it is made with 1" round tube anodized aluminum. Anodizing is a process that increases corrosion and wear resistance of a metal. Installation is very easy for anyone with even moderate handyman type skills. Average installation time is 1 to 2 hours with basic hand tools (cordless drill, tapemeasure, screwdriver, pencil, etc.) It is recommended to have a second person help with the installation process. It comes with 2 bonus items that are normally expensive add ons. One is the storage boot. Put the bimini in the fully folded position when not in use and put the boot around it. The other is the rear support poles. Rear support poles are included instead of straps for the rear.
