The VOTEX drain plug will operate in temperatures up to 150°C or 302°F. A quality motor oil will tolerate oil temperatures up to 250 degrees but starts breaking down once you reach 275 degrees. The operating temperature for engine oil is between 194 and 230°F, so our magnet will work in temperatures far past that of engine oil.Neodymium magnets are one of the strongest magnets available on the planet, and we use one of the strongest grade versions available. This empowers our plug with enormous strength to effectively pull these unwanted metals out of your motor oil, resulting in longer engine life.
