Reinforcement rings embedded within the rubber at the attachment points add strength and reduce tearing that was common in the original (OEM) bands/straps. PLEASE READ: Rubber products age and become less flexible. This is virtually unavoidable AS many factors can contribute to this natural aging condition, such as: temperature, humidity, sunlight, storage, use beyond design limits, time/age, etc. Older bands tend to become brittle and will typically become harder to stretch. This natural occurrence may lead you to believe new resistance bands are much easier to stretch and therefore do not feel like your older, less flexible bands. If you use these types of bands in pairs, it is recommended to purchase new bands in same sized PAIRS (not singles) so that you experience equal resistance on each side. For example, if you pair a new 25lb resistance band with an old 25lb band, the side with the new 25lb band will feel less resistant in your exercise movements.
