• Do not order in exteme cold or hot weather. Do not let packages sit outside or in mailboxes, they will die. For extreme temperatures please consider delaying your order or requesting a hold for pickup with the post office.
• Zebra isopods (Armadillidium maculatum) are a medium sized (~1/2") isopod have a beautiful black and white striped pattern. Useful as a cleanup crew in terrariums, feed for reptiles & amphibians. Count includes adults and juveniles, any "babies" will not count towards the quantity shipped.
• Zebra isopods are active but preferably nocturnal. They are often visible on the surface and move quickly but slower than most other larger isopods. Will hide under objects and burrow if given enough substrate. Live 12-18 months.
• Keep at room temperature or slightly warmer. Prefer high humidity (60%+) with substrate with a moisture gradient. Mist container 1-2 times a week and keep container ventilated.
• Feed on organic matter, mold, and feces. May be fed to reptiles or amphibians. For supplemental feeding use fresh vegetables or a high protein food such as fish pellets or Repashy foods.
