Included in this pack is 1 x 5lb Bio Substrate - activated bacteria seeded substrate, and 1 x 10lb dry aquarium substrate. Diamond Black Quartz Gravel is the Rolls-Royce of our range. Natural Quartz not only looks wonderful but has also been shown to help reduce the build up in the aquarium. This is partly due to the huge surface area of quartz which offers added space for the establishment of tank cleaning bacteria. Quartz sparkles underwater due to the many light reflecting facets and looks like diamonds have been added to your tank. Adding the Bio Substrate to the dry substrate will create an instantly cycled aquarium, it contains a patented blend of live nitrosomas and nitrobacter bacteria which break down and convert harmful ammonia into nitrates.
