Our Waverly Dark Tortoise Endpins are a remarkable simulation of natural tortoiseshell. Our specially blended dark tortoise material makes a beautiful addition to a fine guitar. Light passes through, and it looks amazingly like protected hawksbill turtle shell.Our endpins are machined, never molded. Our dark tortoise bridge pins, endpins and strap buttons are made of Galalith, a dense and durable casein-based material used in vintage jewelry. There are none of the mold lines or distortion common to plastic parts. These pins work perfectly. They're the nicest gift you can buy your favorite guitar!The 0.787"-long (19.99mm) shaft has a 5-degree taper, from approximately .315" to .244" (8.00mm to 6.20mm) diameters.For installation, we recommend using an endpin reamer for matching the 5-degree taper of these endpins.
