The base plate is a faithful reproduction of the original and is made of steel, which is critical for in a Telecaster bridge due to the effect the steel has on the magnetic field of the pickup mounted within it. This is the classic 3-saddle Telecaster bridge design that has been around for over 50 years and is still regarded as the ultimate "tone machine."
