The new MEINL Bodhran is made in the classic Celtic style. The drum is held by means of the wooden cross bars and is usually played with a double headed tipper. The internal tuning system ensures you find just the tuning you want.
- Hardwood shell: this Bodh ran measures 18" X 4" And is made with a hardwood shell in order to produce a rich, full sound; sounds great when played with or without a tipper
- Internal Lug tuning system: tuning lugs on the inside of the shell allow players to easily change the sound and tension of the drum
- Traditional cross bar: The crossbar adheres to Celtic tradition, allowing players to have a solid grip while using their dominant hand to play with a tipper
- Goat skin head: The high quality goat skin head on this produces a warm and bold sound with a short attack, providing a desirable sound for traditional Celtic folk music
- Add cultural sounds: the unique timbre of the Bodh ran drum is designed for traditional Celtic styles but it may be used in contemporary music to add unexpected flavors
