The Cat® DX81B 18V 4.5” Brushless 3.25” Cordless Hand Planer uses advanced technology and design to enhance power and performance for pro-grade woodworking projects. With enhanced power, this cordless planer delivers a no-load speed of 14,000 RPM to effortlessly accomplish a wide range of tasks—such as shaving down lumber, smoothing surfaces, leveling floor joists, repairing sticky door jambs, and more. Whatever the project, the Two-Handed Comfort Grip provides a secure and soft base for both hands so you can glide seamlessly along surfaces. For added precision, rely on the Procession Machined Aluminum Base that ensures parallel cutting and features a V-Groove for edge chamfering. You’ll also be able to refine the cutting depth up to 5/64” using the micro-measurement settings on the depth adjustor. When work conditions get tough, Overload Protection will prevent damage to the tool and battery to extend equipment life. As you plane, the Dual-Sided Extraction Port will remove debris to help keep your workspace clear and tidy. Simply attach the included dust bag to the port on the right or the left to conveniently collect dust and chips in whatever way is best for the job. Between passes, rest the cordless hand planer on its sturdy kickstand to support it on work materials without damaging the surface.
