BD 3000 is the perfect choice when joining dissimilar metals. This alloy can be used for the repair and joining of all ferrous steels including high-alloy, stainless and tool steels. It can be used in all positions to produce smooth, porosity free welds without undercut or splatter. Special ferrite balanced chemistry also serves as a ‘STUD PULLING’ electrode.
- BD 3000 can be used to weld dissimilar or unknown metals and produces smooth, porosity free welds without undercut or splatter
- BD 3000 contains a special ferrite balanced chemistry. This allows the rod to be used as a "Stud Pulling" electrode – able to be used to remove broken studs, bolts, drill bits, etc
- Typical applications for this welding electrode include: welding dissimilar metals, repair of tools, dies, springs, welding carbon steel, rebuilding shafts and blades used in the chemical, construction and mining industries, and more!
- This welding electrode can be used in all positions on AC or DC with a reverse polarity connection (DCEP)
