This stud fits snugly on our 1975 back plate. The plastic stud is assembled in our manufacturing process with the utmost precision to ensure a perfectly balanced buffing pad. On the market today you will see metal bolt systems on back plates or portable plastic tubes to center your pads. The metal bolt system can come into contact with the painted surface and the plastic tubes are easily lost.
