From the Manufacturer The Kichler 15E120BK Economy Series 120-Watt Transformer is an economical choice for small jobs or single specialty piece applications. The Economy Series Transformers are available with a black polymeric enclosure which resists corrosion. This transformer has an easy connect terminal blocks, an on/off/auto switch, and an on/off switch. The 15E120BK is featured with an auto-resettable in-line primary overload protection, as well. There is a thermal cut-off on the primary side if the need arises, and a thermal reset breaker on the secondary side. Your transformer selection will depend on the lighting job; size of the design layout, watts required and length of runs. Voltage drop will result in your lamps decreasing in brightness the farther they are from the transformer. Keeping runs as short as possible will minimize voltage drop and maximize light output. To figure voltage drop, use this equation: A (length of wire) x B (total number of watts for all lamps on that wire run) = C (cable constant - determined by wire size). Cable constant for each wire gauge is as follows: 10 gauge-11920, 12 gauge-7500 (no more than 250 watts or 200 feet), 14 gauge-3500 (no more than 200 watts or 150 feet), 16 gauge-2200 (no more than 150 watts or 100 feet), and 18 gauge-1380. This fixture is sold one per package. This is UL rated for wet locations and is for exterior use only, but is not approved for use with fixtures placed in ponds or landscape water features. Unlike many others, Kichler Landscape Lighting Transformers feature epoxy encapsulation for greater protection and performance, secondary protection and auto-reset circuit breakers. | Warranty Description | Aside from the exceptions noted below, Seller warrants the Products it provides will be free from defects in material and workmanship for 1 (one) year following the date of shipment from Seller. The exceptions are: Landscape product (except as noted below and clarified in the landscape catalogs) for five years; Black and/or Textured Architectural Bronze finish transformers for 10 years; Stainless steel transformers and the exterior finish on LifeBrite outdoor lanterns for normal use for as long as the original purchaser owns the Product; Design Pro Series LED Cabinet Light models 12301BRZ, 12301NI, 12301WH, 12303BRZ, 12303NI, 12303WH, 12305BRZ, 12305NI, and 12305WH for normal use for as long as the original purchaser owns the Product. Normal use means residential non-commercial use for no more than 6 hours per day in an environment that does not exceed 25 degrees Celsius (approximately 77 degrees Fahrenheit). Ceiling Fan Motors for as long as the original purchaser owns the Product. A certain amount of "wobble" is normal in Fans and should not be considered a problem. Energy Star Products for two years; and there are no warranties on light bulbs or the finish on outdoor polished brass Products. If any of the warranted Products are found by Seller to be defective, such Products will, at Seller's sole option and cost, be replaced, repaired or refunded less an amount directly attributable to consumer's prior use of the Product. The parties hereto expressly agree that Buyer's sole and exclusive remedy against the Seller shall be for the repair, replacement, or refund of defective Products as provided herein. This warranty is not transferable whether to heirs, subsequent owners, or otherwise. This warranty does not cover labor or other costs or expenses to remove or install any defective, repaired or replaced Product. |
