Not all coffee filters are created equal. The Jura 72629 Smart Filter Cartridge (Grey) revolutionizes water filtration for the best tasting coffee. Its intelligent water system (I.W.S.) removes chlorine, lead, aluminum, and copper, while an organic additive eliminates almost all calcium carbonate to prevent scale build up. Thanks to modern RFID (Radio-frequency Identification) technology, the cartridge also communicates directly with the coffee maker to collect information about filter use and activate the appropriate mode. Once exhausted, it alerts the user to ensure optimal effectiveness.

• Any machine fitted with the intelligent water system (I.W.S.) recognizes when a filter is inserted
• The coffee machine will automatically switches to filter mode and starts the rinsing process
