I chose to create this fly fishing journal for a couple of reasons. For one, fishing is my passion. When I have a passion, I pour a great amount of energy and heart into making it a big part of my life because it brings me joy. Second, my old journal has a special place in my heart. I still have that journal and it is locked in a fireproof gun safe in my home with the hope that I never lose it. It is my desire that the journal I created might mean as much to you as my old journal means to me. Finally, I am an old-school kind of guy. I prefer pen and paper to an electronic device and Wi-Fi.
