Pathbind: Grid is a strategic racing card game where decisions win races, not luck. This is not a party game and it is not a reflex game dressed up as strategy. Grid is built around the same pressures that define real motorsport: tyre degradation, changing weather, lane positioning and the timing of pit stops. Cars race through a lane-based track where faster trajectories reduce time at the cost of increased wear, while safer lines preserve tyres but sacrifice pace. Every section presents a trade-off, and errors are not erased by chance. Weather conditions shift during the race, altering which strategies remain viable. Pit stops are not bonuses but calculated sacrifices, trading fixed time loss for long-term recovery. Choosing when to push, when to defend position, and when to reset becomes the central challenge of the game. Unlike most racing games, Grid does not rely on dice, roll-and-move systems or constant rubber-banding. Information is open, outcomes are earned, and better planning consistently leads to better results. Races remain tense without becoming chaotic, and repeated plays reward players who learn the system rather than memorise patterns. Grid supports one to six players, including a solo time-trial mode focused on optimisation and efficiency. In multiplayer games, interaction is indirect but constant, as every player’s lane choices and timing decisions shape the race environment. This is a thinking game in a racing skin. If you enjoy optimisation, adapting to evolving conditions, and winning because you planned better rather than because the deck smiled at you, Grid is built for you. If you are looking for a loud, fast, luck-heavy racing experience, this is not it. This game is the result of extensive design, testing and large-scale simulation, authored and engineered by humans. Generative tools are used for visual exploration and production workflows; the game system, rules and balance are entirely human-designed.
