This book is a tool for group facilitators --- clinicians who lead support groups serving healthcare professionals participating in Professional Health Programs (PHPs). Part 1 provides the theoretical foundation as well as practical guidance. Part 2 contains 52 weekly topic pages organized into a calendar-based structure. Open to the current week and go. The sequencing aligns with the emotional terrain of the real-world calendar --- seasons, holidays, family life, and professional rhythms. Therapeutic pacing is built into the structure. Each topic page is designed to be shared with your group. It contains only what the group needs: an inspirational quote, the reading, reflection prompts, and a closing affirmation. Facilitator notes follow each reading, identifying the mutual aid dynamics the topic is designed to activate and the trauma-informed care principles to hold. Experienced facilitators may rarely consult the notes. Newer facilitators may do so every week to build confidence.Part 3 contains 14 flex topics, available when the scheduled topic doesn't fit the group's needs on a given week. Part 4 contains 10 personal stories that can be used at the facilitator's discretion. Each illustrates 1 of the 10 mutual aid dynamics. Personal experience, through narrative, can enter and land differently than topics. Your group members are physicians, pharmacists, advanced practitioners, therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Their referral reasons differ. How they present in group --- resistance, silence, performance, guardedness --- is best understood as protective response rather than character flaw. They occupy different positions on the compliance-engagement spectrum, and those positions shift. Your role is to create conditions where movement toward genuine engagement becomes possible. The theoretical foundation of this book is the TRUST Rounds model (Trauma-Responsive Universal Support Teams; Harden, 2025), which integrates population health logic with trauma-informed care principles and mutual aid group dynamics.
