Are you ready to display real, beautiful potted plants? If you want something more colorful from the usual indoor house plant, Orchid blossoms (when in bloom) will enhance any bleak living space! You can display Orchids in many arrangements and plant them in jars, vases, clay planters or Orchid pots; these pre-bloom plants can be the centerpiece of your home decor and liven up any indoor space. In contrast to artificial or fake plants, live Orchids can contribute to your health by removing harmful toxins and purifying the air in your home, too! Unlike cactus plants, Orchids require minimal direct lighting and more water. For Orchids, 6" Pots require water every 7 days and a 4" pots require water every 5 to 6 days. Keep in mind that when the surface of Orchid potting mix is dry, the root area may still remain moist — poke your finger or any gardening tools into the dirt to feel if there is still moisture. While the potting medium should always be damp and not soggy, the soil should never be extremely dry. For Orchids to meet their optimal growing capabilities, use room temperature water and periodically fertilize. Many people prefer to use sticks to stabilize their Orchids, assisting in their ability to grow long and tall. Care tips: Orchids generally require moist conditions (watering adequately, but make sure not to overwater) with drainage access (such as nursery pots with drainage holes, a well-draining potting soil or Orchid mix, etc.). For indoor growing it’s recommended that the Orchid plant be placed in an area of humidity. To increase humidity and assist plant growth a humidifier can be used, or something easy like misting leaves daily with a bottle sprayer can be beneficial. If leaves become shriveled this is usually an indication that the Orchid is not receiving sufficient water.
