The RocketStor 6430S series are HighPoint’s most advanced external SAS/SATA JBOD Storage Solutions. The robust, compact and portable 4 and 8-bay tower enclosures are capable of supporting up to eight 2.5”/3.5” 12Gb/s SAS or 6Gb/s SAS/SATA hard drives with up to 176TB of storage capacity. Newly redesigned and portable! The RocketStor 6430S series enclosures feature a brand-new chassis architecture making for a lighter, more rugged and durable enclosure that also helps to promote better heat dissipation. In addition, the enclosure now features a sturdy frame mounted carrying handle for easy portability. Freedom of Choice Taking an “open box” approach to storage, customers are free to use their choice of SAS or SATA drive from any of the major drive brands. The RocketStor 6430S comes equipped with up to eight hot-swappable drive trays capable of supporting 2.5” and 3.5” 12 Gb/s SAS and 6Gb/s SAS/SATA drives of any capacity. Integrated LCD Panel for Temperature Monitoring and Fan Control Each RocketStor 6430S features a built in LCD panel that displays the enclosure’s environmental conditions in real-time. By default, the enclosure’s cooling fans will run in “Smart Mode” meaning they will adjust themselves on the fly to keep the systems temperature in check. Users that want a more hands-on approach can utilize the LCD panel to quickly assess the temperature of the storage configuration, then specify the fan control mode and manually adjust the fan speed to ensure the drives stay healthy and run optimally. The enclosure also features a built-in buzzer alarm that can be set to activate in case the temperature reaches a certain threshold or other drive related issues occur.
