Top spin bar and bottom valve plate mechanism provide positive seal for sample retention along with greater control for releasing sample. Modular design has extra flexibility by permitting connection of several sections to form larger sampling unit up to 20 feet. Spin open top locking handle, insert slowly into drum to collect liquid column, pull top handle to seat bottom valve plate and spin top handle closed, trapping column in sampler.
