- In the 1986 World Series The New York Mets vs The Boston Red Sox, with the score tied at 5 - 5 Mookie Willson hits a slow roller up the first base line. The Red Sox first baseman Bill Buckner was all st to make the play and crab the ball. But Bill was well aware of Mookie fast speed running up the first base line. So he took his eye off the ball for a split second, to which the ball rolled past his glove and through his legs thus allowing Ray Knight to score the game winning run!
- From there The Mets went on to win Game 7 and gave the New York Mets their 2nd World Series victory. This play is now infamously know as "Get's By Buckner"
