Don Quixote is the hero of the novel by Cervantes. Originally designed by Geoff Blower, this stately jug is from the Characters of Literature Series and was originally introduced in 1956.
The detail on this jug is intricate and exquisite from the blue gray helmet which serves as the spout of the jug to the features on Don Quixote's grizzled face to the white plume feathers which form the basis of the jug's handle.
The jug measures 7" in height and is approximately 7" at its widest. While it is a beautiful piece of ceramic art, it is also a functional pitcher holding approximately 40 fluid ounces (4 1/2 cups) making it a terrific addition to any barware collection as well.
