Vintage 1950s Thai Last Dancer Necklace.
AMAZING Circa 50's THAI DANCE Articulated Necklace
This is an Amazing Circa 50's Thai Dancer Statement Necklace that actually belonged to a beautiful performer from the 1950s who wore this during her performances.
Both arms are Articulated. The Collar and Apron are done in a Bold Plique-a-jour technique in Red and Green so that you can see the light come through. It is a vitreous enamel technique that is applied in cells, very similar to Cloisonne, but without backing on the final product so that the light can shine through the transparent enamel.
Necklace is gold plated and has Faux Pearl Earrings.
Very unique Hand Painted Face! The details are so Intricate including Blue Eye Shadow, Rouge, and Red Lipstick.
